The Sellsword wandered through the frigid cold of Hjalmaarch with his faithful companion. Their recent victory over a vampire clan still fresh in his mind, but his gut brought a quick end to the memory with a growl of its own.

Balthien walked next to his companion and his long time friend, Wilhelm. They recently cleared out a nest of vampires, and all was going well, until Balthien heard a growl. He grabbed his bow from his back. "I'm pretty sure there's a bear nearby..."

"I wish, I could eat a bear, pelt and all." he responded, letting his friend know it was his grumbling belly.

A look of enlightenment came over Balthien's face. "We should find a town soon, it's been a long while since our last town, right? And now that you mention it...I'm kind of hungry too. And thirsty. I need a glass of ale or something," Balthien said, licking his lips to show that they were dry.

"Pointy-Ears, we just left Morthal two days ago. Well, actually we were kicked out, because you were drunk off of your elven ass." he growled hungrily. "But if we keep going East, we should come to Dawnstar by the end of the week. But until then-" Wilhelm was cut off by both the growl of his own stomach and a bear that they had wandered too close to. I just had to say something about eating a bear earlier, didn't I?

Balthien stopped, because he heard the two growls too. "You just HAD to say something about eating a bear, didn't you?!" Balthien exclaimed as he got his bow from his back, notching an arrow.

"Yeah, yeah, less talking, more killing." said the Sellsword as he drew his battleaxe and swung it at the bear, trying to get some distance between the two.

Balthien notched an arrow, and sent an arrow flying. It hit directly where he had intended- it's left eye. The bear roared in pain, but continued to come towards them. "Shit..." he muttered under his breath, notching another arrow and letting it fly. It skimmed the bear's shoulder, but that didn't seem to slow it down at all.

The Nord quickly jumped to the side of the beast and lopped one of its legs off, just as it fell he took in a breath. "YOL!" he Shouted, igniting its fur and covering it in pain.

Balthien lodged another arrow in the bear, this time in it's leg. It roared in pain, obviously even angrier than it had been previously.

The Dragonborn took advantage of its rage toward his pointy-eared friend and drove the battleaxe's blade into its mouth, separating its jaws and killing it. He pulled the blade out and looked to his friend. "Shall we start a fire?" A huge smile spread across his face.

Balthien's stomach growled, and he grinned at his friend. "Definitely," he stated, going to get wood to start the fire. Finally! Food... Balthien thought, his stomach rumbling.

Wilhelm began to clean the deceased bear, cutting away it's fur and flesh from the good meat. After Pointy-Ears got the firefood, he stuck his battleaxe into the ground and crouched near the wood pile, pushing stones up around it so the fire wouldn't get out of hand. He made a cone around his mouth, so the excess flames wouldn't char the rest of the area and whispered a Shout. "Yol." the Fire Breath easily set the fire.

Balthien made a makeshift fire-spit, and began to chop up the bear meat, separating the good meat from the bad meat, and carefully setting the good meat on a large piece of rag he found in his knapsack. He then skewered the good bear meat and put it over the fire. "Turn this every five to ten minutes," he told Wilhelm. He then wrapped the rest of the bear meat and the fur, and hurried deep into the forest to get rid of the bear remains.
