Legate S'kvari, the hot-headed Imperial Dovahkiin of legend. at least, that's what everyone else said when they found out. Her? She didn't two shits about the matter. When the time came, she would try to see past the flaws of her fellow Dragon born and take down Alduin once and for all. For now though, she was just wandering about the Whiterun Hold, hoping to find a Stormcloak or two to kill. After all, she wanted a break from dragon hunting. After learning Dragonrend, she needed it. Learning the only man made shout, one that no one had learned for centuries, was more exhausting than anyone thought.

After months of constant snow fall, the old dov was more than ready to stretch his wings else where, in hopes for warmer and better weather. Waking up to the frosty nip in the air and icicles formed all over him body was something he had never quiet gotten used to. Cold was one thing, but chipping all of that damn frost off was always a chore, even if it was just easier to melt it off.
As the ancient red scaled dragon shook the icicles from his body, he felt the presence of powerful being within close proximity of his mountain. Vokunulov could tell that it was one of the fabled Dovahkiin, but he wasn't sure which of them it was. Only when he could hear their voice, would he know which was which without actually seeing them. Perhaps this dovahkiin was on their way to speak with him? While he doubted it, Vokunulov couldn't help but wonder why the chosen three failed to come before him for advice on how to defeat Alduin. It made the dragon worry a bit, fearing that they did not care for what might happen to the world, should the World Eater succeed.
Spreading his enormous wings, Vokunulov readied himself for flight. Then was as good of time as any to visit the dragonborn while out flying around. He only hoped that the dovahkiin wouldn't take his sudden appearance as if he wished to pick a fight. It was quite the opposite, Vokunulov just wanted to talk. With a couple strong beats of his wings, the ancient creature was off his stone wall perch and in the sky. Then, he began his decent towards Whiterun. As he flew, his eyes searched for a mortal who's voice was as powerful as a dragon's. Then he saw her, the Khajiit who was a part of the Imperial Legion. He had heard about her from the Greybeards, who said her arrogance knew no bounds.
"Drem Yol Lok, Dovahkiin," his deep voice boomed while he circled above the Khajiit. "Do you speak only the common tongue, fahdon?"

S'kvari jumped a little and looked around. When she looked up and saw the dragon, she was rather confused as to why it was just circling over head. Then it dawned on her. The Greybeards Grandmaster. "Yeah. I speak what normal, non-dragon creatures speak. So if you say something, you'll have to translate." She called up to him. the cat looked around and realized that she was the only thing keeping him from landing, as she was standing right in the middle of the only real good spot for him. She started to run before shouting in the dragon tongue to move faster. "Wuld!" She called, quickly zipping a little ways away so he could land.

Before the ancient dragon said anything further, he awaited for her to move so he didn't crush her when he landed. Then, in the blink of an eye, the Khajiit was out of the way and he took the chance to land. The ground shook a little as he touched down on the earth. It had been so long since he had felt the soil of the lower earth... But it distracted him. When S'kvari used her Thu'um, Vokunulov put a piece of it into his memory so he could hear her every time she used a shout and know who it was.
"Then it is fortunate that I am well versed in the common mortal tongue. I am Vokunulov, however, if they is too difficult to pronounce, a shorter version will do." Vokunulov mentioned, turning towards the Khajiit once again. Now that he was closer, the dragon looked over the Dovahkiin, sizing her up and wondering what she was like. "The Greybeards have deemed that you are not yet worthy to speak with me. I do not understand why they may think so, as wise as they may be. So tell me, Kaaz Fahdon, why have they kept me from you? Do you wish to slay me?"

"Tch, yeah. Right. Like I'm stupid enough to want to slay you." The Khajiit snorted, almost laughing. "Overconfidence. They said that my well justified confidence comes off as arrogance and that I am not yet fit to talk to you." The almost completely black cat still retained her cocky, confident grin, despite who she was talking to. "However, my attitude should have nothing to do with it. I'm a freakin' prodigy among my kind. I just recently learned the one shout no one has learned in centuries, the Dragonrend shout. I've completely mastered the Words I know, and constantly learn new ones. I'm a damn good warrior and Dovahkiin, yet a little understood confidence prevents me from getting the answers I seek. Tell me how that is fair."

Vokunulov listened to the Khajiit speak to him in a way that he had never heard before. While part of him was deeply intrigued by this display of extreme arrogance, the better half of his common sense was truly frightened for the world. Was she so blind that she thought she could take on the world just because she was better than most others.
"A few fancy words do not make you better than other joor. Are you more powerful? Certainly. But your arrogance blinds you to the harsh reality." The red dragon lowered his head so he was closer to eye level with the Khajiit. "Deep down you are troubled, Kaaz. You know that you cannot defeat Alduin alone. Why else would you seek answers? It is acceptable for you to have some doubt in yourself, friend."
With a short pause, the old dovah continued on, "There are three Dovahkiin that are said to defeat the World Eater. You are only one. The other two are far different from yourself, yet very much the same. In time, you must learn to look past your differences or the world will suffer for your selfishness." While Vokunulov did not expect much from S'kvari after having said all of that, he hoped that she did heed his warning and begin to learn something new. "Do you have anybody near and dear to you? A lover perhaps? Maybe some family members or friends?" Vokunulov thought that if he related the end of the world to something important to S'kvari, she might get the picture.

The anger she felt quickly melted away, showing that she did indeed have some doubts. A sigh escaped her lips and she plopped down on the ground. "I uh, I have a few friends. Wilhelm Bear-Heart, Ja'Remy, some Imperials... and this guy that sort of tugs at my heartstrings a little." The usually cocky Khajiit admitted. It took some strength to admit these things, especially the last part. "Look, I understand the gravity of the situation... and I know Wilhelm is also one of the chosen three. Trying to find one Stormcloak out of all the others? Dead or alive? Seems damn near impossible. I'm almost kind of afraid that I've already killed them. What if I have? What then?"

Seeing S'kvari's doubt greatly eased the lingering fear left in Vokunulov's mind. That fact that she was capable of humility, no matter the form, meant that she could somehow put aside her differences with the other Dovahkiin and work together to defeat Alduin. When S'kvari mentioned her friends and a mysterious man that held a special place in her heart, Vokunulov would have smiled if he could. He did not understand the mortal concept of love fully, but understood that it could be used as a huge motivator.
"Remember your friends and always keep them close," Vokunulov said, "I do not understand love as you do, but he seems to have effected you in a positive way, yes? Just remember that, should the three great Dovahkiin be unable to put aside their differences, everybody you love will parish when Alduin devours the world."
Then the Khajiit expressed her concern that she might have killed the Stormcloak Dovahkiin. With a chuckle, Vokunulov continued, "I have heard the voice of the Stormcloak Dovahkiin recently. When Alduin swooped down on Helgen, I heard the faint whisper of his voice fluttering amongst the breeze. Perhaps you have seen him, but you just haven't realized it yet. If you were at Helgen, recall the past. Do you remember seeing a Stormcloak that seemed out of place or different than the others?"

S'kvari thought hard about it. Finally, she remembered one. The only Stormcloak said to have made to out of Helgan alive. "Come to think of it, the only Stormcloak that escaped seemed a bit odd. I felt like I had a connection to the lizard, yet I'd never met him before in my life." The Khajiit's normal cocky grin came back to her face as she looked back at the dragon before her. "The Argonian, Tells-Grim-Tales I believe is what his name was, is it him?"

Vokunulov turned his gaze to the sky for a moment, trying to recall if he had ever heard of the strange name. The Greybeards had mentioned an Argonian, but the dragon didn't recall his name. He remembered the few details that the other masters of the voice told him, but could not remember if the argonian had shared his name or not.
"The Greybeards tell me that they were approached by an Argonian, but they did not remember his name when they spoke with me," he told the Khajiit, "I do not know his name, but I know his thu'um well. Windhelm would be the obvious place to seek him out, but a Legate would not be welcomed into the city with open arms. Send him a note to draw him out of the city, talking to him outside of Windhelm would be in both of your best interests."

"Yeah, usually if I have to go to that divine-forsaken city, I wear different armor. Not a good idea to walk in to Windhelm with the fact the you are a Legionnaire glaringly obvious." S'kvari snorted. She hated Windhelm, but it couldn't really be helped. Then, a thought crossed her mind. "Perhaps a courier? Send him a letter telling him to meet me somewhere? Then try not to kill him when he gets there."
Though it was obvious that the Khajiit didn't like the idea of being friendly to a Stormcloak, she was trying to put aside their differences to save the world. Then they could just kill each other another day.

Vokunulov nodded his head when she mentioned a courier and not killing the Argonian. Killing each other was just foolish, but then again the ancient dragon never quite understood why mortals did the things they did. Dragons rarely ever turned on each other, only in the most extreme cases did they ever fight. It was just easier not to. But mortals were mortals and bloodshed was all they seemed to care about. In fact, they seemed to love war. They seemed to look for any excuse to butcher each other for some reason. Was peace just too boring for them?
"Perhaps you will find that you have more in common with him than you think. Argonians are a hated minority in Windhelm, they aren't even allowed in the city, much like the Khajiit people." Vokunulov explained, "Regardless, killing each other before Alduin is defeated would only doom the world. You'd never get to see the man you love again, remember that when you feel the rage building up when you see this Argonian."

"Yeah, yeah. I know. Believe me. I got that." The cat sighed, thinking back to that Riften Khajiit. She hated him, but she couldn't help but like him. Stupid Khajiit men... She growled in her head before turning her attention back to the dragon. "So courier then not kill him. Save the world, kill him later. Sounds like a plan to me. Quick question though. What if he won't listen to me?"

Vokunulov had to think about her last question for a bit. He had never met the Argonian himself, so knew nothing of his personality or if he had any weak points that could be played on. Using family or a spouse against him, if he had either, probably would just piss him off and make things much more difficult.
"Show him that you can put aside your differences to save the world and perhaps he will do the same," Vokunulov mentioned, sounding a bit unsure, "The dragon crisis has nothing to do with the war and the three Dovahkiin, no matter where their loyalties lie, must put aside their own wants to save the world. And if all else should fail, give him time to think things over. A lot can happen in the mind of another when some time has past."

"True. Thanks, Vok." She said, finally calling him by a shortened version of his name, showing that she meant it. Then, the realization hit her that she was going to have to write a Stormcloak and she made a gagging noise. "Yuck, I'm going to have to write my enemy... I don't even write my friends."
