(I don't know if the person playing Bartello is still on the site, but here goes!)
Sometimes you aren't handed all the information you need on a silver platter. Most of the time the client provides all of the information needed, or on occasion, the Night Mother gives them the information they need. But every once and a while, they only get a name and a face. That is where things get interesting.
Viss was dressed in much more regular clothes, a expansive dark robe hiding his Brotherhood armor while he walked in broad daylight. He gave the guards outside of the walls of Whiterun a passing glance, only nodding to them slightly in greeting as he passed through the doors. When he entered Whiterun, he took a cursory moment to survey everything he could see in detail. Then he walked straight for the Bannered Mare.
A week ago, the Falkreath Sanctuary received a letter and a wanted poster. The poster detailed the face of a Redguard, and bellow it the name 'Bartello Ruuz'. The letter had only one word,
'Traitor'
Viss had no other information to work on. As a Speaker for the Brotherhood, it was his duty to ensure order was kept in the area. This meant it was going to be his responsibility if a traitor to the Brotherhood was in Skyrim.
So he started with the basics; talking to people and listening. Skyrim was populated mostly by Nords, so finding a Redguard should be relatively easy. You just needed to know when to apply coin, and when to apply a knife.
The Argonian entered the Bannered Mare and walked straight for the Inn owner, taking a seat without being threatening and asking about recent events. He ordered a drink along with the question.
