"I wish there was, Ande... These girls were my best friends. The only thing we can do for them now is free them by death. Then we can destroy Morokei." She explained gently, a Ice Spear spell coming to her hand. "Come on, let's let them be free."

"But why? Why can't we save them?" He asked, the tips of his swords pointed at a slant towards the ground as he looked up at them. They looked as if they were in a painful trance, their bodies thin and aged. How long had they been here?

"Because, they are technically already dead. Now, please, help me set my friends free." The Arch-Mage said in a very firm tone, charging the ice spear and shooting it at one of the thralls. It grunted in pain, but never moved or staggered. She charged another one and fired again. This time, it hit and the thrall evaporated, a disembodied voice echoing a thank you. "You are welcome, Shayza... I promise you are next, Marianerah..." Though the Arch-Mage sounded sad, she started charging the spell once again.

Ande bit his lip but didn't move to help, instead turning away and facing toward Morokei, who was still staring at both of them. Now he really wished Annalynn had hired a Companion, but they needed to work with what they had. It would be a question of if they had what it took to take this guy out in a few seconds, and they'd probably find out pretty quick.

She took out the last thrall and quickly switched to Firestorm. "Here he comes, Ande. Be ready." She growled, firing the spell and moving out of the explosion's radius. Morokei started shoot magic out of the staff he carried, but Annalynn nimbly dodged every shot.

Ande charged forward in a zig zag, each step made preparation to leap to the next as he got closer to the Dragon Priest. He swung one of his conjured blades upward at Morokei, following through immediately after with the second blade.

The Dragon Priest roared in anger, swinging at Ande and backing up. Anna ran up and was about to use Firestorm again. However Morokei spotted her and zapped her with the staff. She staggered, which gave the long dead priest the time he needed to hit her with the staff, sending her flying into the water.

Ande pursued him, slashing and hitting air when the Dragon Priest backed up even more. He lashed out again and moved forward more, strike hitting home. The Altmer had jerked to the side to avoid the staff's attack, seeing Annalynn appear next to him almost instantly and staring in surprise. It surprised him even more when she was knocked back into the water, and he faltered in his attack, reaching toward her instinctively, "Annalynn!"

Morokei gave a wicked laugh and shot a steady beam from his staff at Ande.
Anna lingered under water for a second before finally surfacing. Rocks didn't really feel too good on her head and she hit a couple. So, a little dazed, she crawled up on to the ground, panting.

Ande made a choked sound of surprise, immediately leaping forward at the Dragon Priest and swinging both of his swords again. Unfortunately, Morokei drifted back out of reach each time, leading Ande in a chase that ended with the Altmer collapsing to the hard stone floor. He kept a grip on one of his swords as he went down, the other dropping and dissolving into nothing as he impacted. Ande lifted his head to look at the Dragon Priest, free hand charging a spell that abruptly died in his hand.
That in itself shook the Altmer to his core, so the steady burn forming in his chest that caused him to cough up blood was even more alarming. He kept a hard grip on the second sword and forced himself unsteadily to his feet, hacking up more blood as he moved forward again.

The Dragon Priest continued to shot the beam at Ande, moving constantly so the slowly dying man couldn't get to him. However, he made one fatal mistake. He forgot Anna.
Annalynn looked up to see the danger Ande was in, slowly having his life eaten away. Morokei was killing one of her mages. With a look no one had ever seen on the Altmer, she conjured a bound sword and ran the Dragon Priest, aggression clear in her eyes. Morokei started to aim the beam at her, but he wasn't quick enough and ended up getting his hand cut off. He screamed in agony and anger as the staff (and his hand) fell to the ground. However, it never got to finish it's shriek. Instead, small sound of dying emitted from him as she stood there, boud sword through it's chest. Swiftly, she withdrew it and brought it across it's throat, ensuring that it wasn't getting back up. She stayed in that position, right hand and hold straight of to the side, for some time. After a moment, she let go of the weapon, speaking without turning to face Ande as the sword disintegrated. "No one, and I mean no one, kills my mages. Not while I still draw breath." She said in a very calm, but intense tone.

Ande had hit the floor again and dropped his sword by the time Annalynn had gotten there, trying to keep himself up off the floor with his hands despite the nausea. But he heard everything. The scream, the sticky cracking sound of a sword being shoved deep, the slice of dried and withered flesh, the clatter of armor and of something slightly brittle hitting the ground. He convulsed and abruptly vomited a mix of blood and his last meal onto the cold floor, rolling over to the side to avoid landing in it as he stared at the ceiling, still feeling sick. He could see Annalynn out of the corner of his vision, standing tall and rigid. He'd honestly never seen her fight, but she was Arch-Mage for a reason.

Finally, she turned back to him with a smile, Grand Healing in her hands. She quickly cast the Expert destruction spell, before it disappeared from her hands. "Is that better, Ande dear?" She asked, tone almost implying that nothing had ever changed with her.
