"Come on, I know you can lift your sword arm higher than that. You'll need to get over the Stormcloak's shield. Anything lower is just a wasted attack and wasted energy. You'd just be opening up yourself to a counter attack." called Captain Rex to the new Imperial Legionnaires. He walked over to one of the dummies that held its shield up, as if it was defending from a blow. He jumped and angled his sword over the shield, driving it deep into the straw dummy. "Do whatever it takes, but you can get around the shield."

As she made her way up to Castle Dour, she had to seriously stop herself from using Unrelenting Force to move people out of her way. She couldn't use the Thu'um in Solitude. Most of the soldiers were unaware of her Dragonblood and she planned to keep it that way. The ones that did know where paid or threatened to keep their mouth shut. Now, she had to go meet a "new" Captain and keep it secret from yet another. In actuality, he wasn't new, she was just always gone and never actually got to be introduce him.
Soon, she reached the gates of the castle and saw him training some of the new soldiers. This was a perfect moment to test their reflexes, especially since there was one she already knew. Quickly, she drew her battleaxe and rushed forward. The one she knew heard her quiet steps, quickly drew his sword and blocked the attack. She smirked and put away her weapon. "Good reflexes. Keep it up, soldier." As she spoke, the soldier couldn't help but look prideful. Even those that didn't know her knew that she rarely gave compliments. After looking the rest of them over, she turned to the Captain. "Captain. Despite you having been with us a little while, I don't think we've met. Legate S'kvari."

"Good morning, Legate, I'm Captain Severus Rex." He walked over to the Khajiit legate and offered her a hand, with his other hand he removed his helmet, revealing his scared cheek and shaved head. "We were just going over how to get around an opponent's shield by maneuvering around it, instead of wasting energy by just breaking through. Care to teach those with two-handed weapons how its done?"

"Chop their arm off." She answered simply, smirking and accidentally ignoring the Captain's hand. "No, there are actually three ways you can do it. Bash their ribs..." She drew her weapon and took a swing at the dummy's left side. "Take out their legs..." The Khajiit pulled her weapon back and took a wing at the dummy's legs, trying every hard not to break it. "And cleave their head open." Once again she pulled her weapon back, but this time she brought it up and imbedded it in the dummy's head. When she pulled her weapon back again, she returned it to it's resting place on her back. Her hands went up and removed her Elven helmet, letting her ears perk up. "Not hard. Especially if you have a high amount of strength."

The Captain retracted his hand and replaced his helmet. He watched the Legate's actions as she tore the dummy apart. "That's all fine and good, Legate," he started as he walked over to assess the damage done, "but what about those of us that aren't that strong? Or for those of us who like to have dummies to practice on?" No sooner had he asked the latter question did the dummy fall apart on the cobblestone, stray scattering along the majority of the courtyard.

"Damn it! Damn these cheap things to Oblivion! This is the 5th fucking time I've broken one!" She growled, ears back and one hand on her hip. With a sigh, she relaxed, turning back toward the Captain. "As you can tell I don't exactly have the best control over my strength or anger. Ask General Assmunch, I didn't get to the rank of Legate because of my attitude."

"Yes, the General has several choice words for you, none of which I will repeat." he responded as he called a few of the other soldiers over to help with the clean up. He personally scooped up a large armful and carried it over to the waste bin.

S'kvari watched them clean it up before opening her mouth. "Why exactly did you clean up my destruction? I could have done it." She asked, her typical tone still shining bright. She didn't particularly care what his reason was, she was simple curious.

"Because we are Legionnaires, and being a Legionnaire is about being a family, watching each others backs, and helping our comrades out when they need it, whether they think so or not." answered the Captain. Rex didn't know the Legate, Oblivion, they had just met, but he was still more than happy to help out his fellow Imperial.

"That it is." She said with a friendly smirk. "You are a keeper, Imperial. Try not to die, these men need someone like you." S'kvari, despite her relatively high speechcraft, never was good with nice words. So she always said things like that.

"I don't plan on dying anytime soon, I've got a wife and son to live for. What about you, Legate, is there anyone in your life worth staying alive for?" he asked. While he waited for her answer he issued a silent order for the soldiers to continue their training.

"Funny thing about that. I wouldn't still be alive if it wasn't for the Khajiit I like so much." She said, scratching the back of her head. "I nearly died after being burned, bitten and tossed off a cliff by a dragon protecting him. He finished off the dragon and dragged my ass back to Riften."
