That was a very good question... Ja'Raska wasn't entirely sure what he was going to do now that he had a pocket full of gold. It was rather tempting to just pretend like he never had an assignment and keep the septims for himself. But he had a duty to his Guild to give them a piece of the profit, so he probably would end up going into the Ratway.
"More than likely," the khajiit replied, "They'd skin me alive if they found out I didn't bring them their part of the gold right away."

"Well that doesn't sound pleasant." She laughed, starting to walk off and motioning him to follow. "First, how about a drink, on me."

"It isn't as terrible as it sounds. Just ensures loyalty i suppose," Ja'Raska laughed. When she offered him a drink he smiled at her and followed. "Certainly." Normally he wouldn't allow a woman to buy him a drink, but he made an exception for S'kvari. If he offered to pay, she might think he was sexist or something and he really didn't want to get his ear rings ripped out.

"Good! I don't want to have to drag your ass to the Bee and Barb." She chuckled leading the way to the inn. When they got there, S'kvari took her seat at the bar, and the bartender already had her drink sitting in front of her. "I love it when ALL the bartenders know me so well that they know what I drink."

"No dragging will be necessary, I assure you." laughed the thief, trotting along behind her. When they walked through the door, he got a couple of weird looks from other patrons, but didn't think much of it. They probably thought that he had something to do with the arrest of the Stormcloak general, since the two had a brief encounter before then. Ja'Raska didn't really care, it was a part of the business, and sat down at the bar without another thought of it. The bartender brought him a drink shortly after.
"I don't spend much time in bars... Except the Flagon of course."

"I spend my time kicking ass and drinking. I have the money and ability to do both better than most people I know." She chuckled, downing the drink before her and ordering another.

Ja'Raska took his dear sweet time drinking his mead, he liked to keep a clear mind while on duty since he had a couple of bad experiences where his judgement had been a bit more... clouded. The last thing he needed was to get drunk and have somebody come up from the Ratway to give him a job... That would have been a nightmare, but Ja'Raska knew he would somehow manage it.
"Sounds like fun," Ja'Raska chuckled, "I'm not rich, nor do I spend my time kicking ass. My time is consumed by much more.... humble activities."

"That sounds... boring." she laughed, downing yet another tankard. "Hell, if that guild of yours treat me right, you lot will have more money than you know what to do with. Just like me." The Khajiit was very open about her large amounts of gold and treasure. Though to most this didn't seem like a smart idea, S'kvari was smart, strong, quick, and she had connections in every city. She knew she could win against any petty thief.

Ja'Raska smiled when she mentioned the guild. The Thieves', though their jobs were often morally wrong, took loyalty and honor very seriously. They knew that better than most and certainly knew how to treat their "customers" right. If it wasn't for their loyalty, the Thieves' Guild might not be around in the present day. Hell, if it wasn't for Maven Black-Briar, they wouldn't have half the business they had now.
"We don't get much work these days," Ja'Raska told her with a chuckle, "Business is slow when the focus of the public eye is on the war, which is a good thing and a bad thing. It makes our jobs easier, but fewer all the same. Our guild is very loyal to our allies and can prove to be very, very useful. We do much more than just meets the eye as well."

"That's good. Because uh, I live in Solitude. Own Proudspire Manor, well respected/feared Imperial Legate, close friends with Jarl Elisif and her court. I could be your Maven Black-Briar of Solitude. However, as I'm sure you noticed at our meeting, I'm not exactly the slowest to anger. And when I get angry, I kill whoever wronged me." She said, taking another drink.

Ja'Raska was rather surprised that S'kvari was so very open about her wealth, but the more he thought about it the less surprised he was. The female khajiit was very full of herself, which was a good thing and a bad thing.
"We are very good about not wronging people." Ja'Raska told her with a smile, "We might be shady people, but we are certainly not stupid. You've definitely made an ally in the Guild today."

"Good to hear." She said. Suddenly, she just started cracking up. "Oh boy. If my General finds out about this, I'll get lectured." Obviously she didn't seem to worried. She was Dragonborn, she could take him.

When S'kvari started laughing, Ja'Raska wasn't quite sure what to do. As far they had known each other, the other khajiit hadn't laughed at all. It was rather sudden... if not a bit odd. But Ja'Raska chuckled when she mentioned her General not being pleased with her.
"Pssh, who cares what he thinks, yes? You should be lecturing him for not being more fun and spontaneous."

"I agree. Besides, what fun is it to be the General if you don't be spontaneous? Loser." She chuckled, downing the rest of her drink and ordering another. "So, your guild. What are they like?"

"The Guild?" He asked, then scratched his chin as he thought about it's members. Each one was very different, some really fit the stereotype thief while other's were the absolute opposite. Ja'Raska tried to not get close to very many of them, since the job was really risky and forming attachments wasn't exactly.... encouraged.
"Well, each person has their own unique style of... doing their job," Ja'Raska replied with a chuckle, "We come from all walks of life. Some of us are rather quiet and stick to the shadows, while others are very open with the world and don't really care that people know who they are."
